The Vision

Why we're going

Go Deeper

The main purpose of the weekend: knowing each other past the surface. Real stories, real questions, real brotherhood.

Hear from the Lord

Built-in solitude, a time to worship, seek the Lord, hear a message. And space to hear from the Lord.

Unplugged

Minimal phone usage upon arrival — let's be intentional. Two days where nothing buzzes and nobody scrolls.

Every Man Owns Something

This isn't a retreat you attend — it's one we build. Every man carries a piece of the weekend: a devotional, a meal, a workout, an activity.

The Dates

Two options — your vote decides

September 5–7

Saturday – Monday · Labor Day weekend

October 9–11

Friday – Sunday

Check the weekend that works for you in the sign-up form. The final date gets announced once everyone's in.

The Agenda · Draft

The shape of the weekend

Night One

  • Roll in, unplug, get settled
  • Opening round: “What do you want from this weekend — and what do you hope to leave behind?”
  • Dinner together
  • Worship and a message

The Full Day

  • Quiet time and solitude — hear from the Lord
  • Morning workout, then breakfast
  • Get outside: hiking, fishing, games
  • Lunch, then time to connect: “Where have I been, where am I now, what's next?”
  • Dinner, then intentional time/activity, etc.

Final Morning

  • Workout or slow coffee — your call
  • Breakfast
  • Closing charge, prayer, and commissioning
  • Pack out, head home sharpened

One more thing: there could be an activity no one gets told about in advance, so just come prepared.

Draft agenda — the final schedule comes together after signups, and every man will own a piece of it.

The Place

Broken Bow, Oklahoma

Pine forest, Broken Bow Lake, and the Mountain Fork River — the Beavers Bend area is about a three-hour drive from DFW and feels a lot further away than that. We'll book a cabin big enough for all of us once the headcount is set.

Address

Exact cabin address drops here once the Airbnb is booked.

✓ = deposit already in. No checkmark just means we haven't collected yours yet — that comes once the weekend is locked.

After The Date Is Set

The $50 deposit comes later

First we pick the weekend from everyone's votes. Once it's locked in, we'll reach out to collect the $50 deposit — it counts toward your total for the cabin and food. Want to send it early? Venmo works anytime.

Deposits go to Will — he's collecting the money for the trip, so Venmo will show his name (@AwawaHawaii) when you pay. That's expected.
